World Book Week
A tall English teacher named Jones
Took poetry back to bare bones
He seemed like a kind chap
But made us do mind maps
Eliciting several groans.
A huge thank you to Mr Jones for taking the time to share one of his favourite Y5&6 texts, “Cloud Busting” by Malorie Blackman, with a group of parents for Book Week. Our children are incredibly lucky to have such genuinely passionate subject teachers, but it was very generous of Mr Jones to share his energy for reading and writing with parents too.
Our Book Week activities have raised over £600 which will go directly back into reading initiatives at the school.
