Double celebration for The Vineyard children at Richmond Young Writers’ competition

Sunday 23rd March saw expectant finalists of this year’s Richmond Young Writers’ competition gather at The Exchange, Twickenham, for a celebration of their work and the prize-giving ceremony. Finalists’ pieces were brought to life by actors and a polished, professional dramatisation that thrilled the audience. 

Alex Bamber, 6 Garnet and Farah Shah, 3 Emerald were two of the finalists awarded by Mayor of Richmond-upon-Thames, Cllr Richard Pyne. Each received a certificate to commemorate their achievement as well as a limited run book containing this year’s shortlisted entries. 

Congratulations to Alex and Farah and thank you to all entrants and families whose inspiration and hard work has ensured a very successful first year of entry. To be continued…
