The Cycle Of Life

First you were a baby,

Being fed by your mother.

Then you grew into a toddler,

Where your father pushed you around in a pram.

After you had your first sleepover,

Being spoilt by your grandma.

Suddenly, it’s your first day of school,

Where your teachers comfort you.

Time goes by and now you’re in big school,

With your older sister who helps you blend in and feel safe.

Then you become a teenager,

Having fun with your friends who always have your back.

Many years later you go to university,

Leaving home for the first time but still with kind and helpful friends.

Now you are an adult starting your first job,

Your boss says GOOD WORK!

Out of the blue you meet your future husband,

Who holds your hand when you give birth.

You have TWINS,

Now you are the feeder, pram pusher, carer and everything else…

Until you become old,

And now we’re back to the start and you need looking after!
