Performances to be proud of...
This week Year 3 showcased their string instrument skills in a performance to parents, the culmination of a 6-week beginners’ course run by RMT (Richmond Music Trust). Check our Instagram for a short video. Families can now sign up for children to continue with these instruments in the spring term.
We were thrilled to have Austin from Year 2, Anvik from Year 5 and Aaryan from Year 6, take the stage at our Key Stage 1 Music Assembly.
Austin performed a piano piece from his Grade 2 exam syllabus, wowing the audience with his brilliant technique and expressive playing.
Anvik channelled his inner Freddie Mercury, putting on a fantastic show singing We Will Rock You by Queen. The children loved hearing his accomplished singing and enjoyed joining in with the percussion part.
Aaryan performed a fantastic version of George Ezra’s Shotgun during this week’s KS1 Music Assembly. Aaryan brought the song to life with his great tone and clear projection, which impressed everyone. Following the performance, the children reflected on what the song reminded them of. Many responses correctly mentioned travelling to different places on holiday, which is what the song is about.
